The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) recorded seven volcanic earthquakes at Mount Kanlaon within the past 24 hours.
During the same monitoring period, the volcano emitted 1,869 tons of sulfur dioxide.
The volcano also released ash plumes reaching 400 meters high, moving in a west-northwest direction.
Mount Kanlaon remains under Alert Level 3.
The volcano’s swelling continues at this time.
Currently, all aircraft are prohibited from flying near the volcano.
The public is advised that there is still a possibility of sudden eruptions, lava flows, ashfall, Pyroclastic Density Current (PDC), rockfall, and lahar flows in case of heavy rainfall.
