GMO-FREE Negros Coalition nagapanawagan sang husto nga implementasyon sang Anti-GMO Ordinance sa Negros Occidental

Nagapanawagan ang grupo nga GMO-free Negros Coalition sa Provincial Government sang Negros Occidental nga ipatuman sang husto ang mga ordinansa kontra sa genetically-modified organism (GMO).

Ini ang sabat sang grupo kasunod sang pagpaguwa sang statement sang Joint Legal-Scientific Team sang Capitolio sa tunga sang pagtalakay sang Sangguniang Panlalawigan sang Proposed GMO Regulatory Ordinance.

Ila man ginaduso ang pagpamalabag sa mga pressure agud dulaon ini nga mga ordinansa.

Ila man ginapanawagan ang mga masunod:

– Strengthen and support organic agriculture and agroecology as Nature-based solutions to climate change, biodiversity loss, and food insecurity.

– Address the existing food production issues like processing facilities, supply and value chain bottlenecks, and market support, among others.

– Protect the rights of farmers to seeds, health, and sustainable livelihoods, free from corporate control.

– Uphold the constitutional rights of Negrosanon to a balanced and healthful ecology, in accordance with the rhythm and harmony of nature.

Subong nga aga, hiwaton ang public hearing angot sa proposed ordinance sa session hall sang Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
